My name is Kerem Akkaya, founder of Del Estancio Kennel and a professional Cane Corso breeder. My goal has always been to breed Cane Corsos that combine sound health, stable temperament, working ability, and true breed type while remaining balanced companions capable of adapting to family life.
As we mark our 13th year in dog breeding and 5th year dedicated exclusively to the Cane Corso breed, we continue to pass on the knowledge and experience we have gained to every new generation we breed.

05Health, Genetics & Socialization
Raised by standards, not by chance.
At Del Estancio Kennel, our breeding program is founded on health, genetic suitability and a balanced temperament. The breeding dogs in our program undergo the necessary radiographic checks and genetic tests to detect hereditary diseases that may occur in the breed. We also place great importance on our breeding dogs having a balanced, confident and sociable character. When planning matings, we jointly evaluate health results, genetic data and character traits.
Health
Regarding our puppies, their health is always our highest priority. Their development and general health are closely monitored from birth until delivery; veterinary check-ups, vaccinations and deworming treatments are carried out according to their age. Before being delivered to their new families, our puppies undergo a complete final health examination. The necessary blood and fecal analyses are performed to evaluate their general health and detect infectious diseases. We complete the delivery process only after ensuring that the puppy is healthy.
Genetics
When planning matings, we do not only evaluate the breeding dogs. We thoroughly investigate the overall quality of the bloodlines, the health tests of ancestors in the pedigree, their conformity to breed standards and their show results. Over the years we have visited numerous countries around the world, giving us the opportunity to observe and evaluate different bloodlines, breeding programs and dogs from those bloodlines first-hand. We use the experience gained, the research carried out and the concrete examples observed in this process to make our mating decisions. Each pairing is planned by exhaustively evaluating health, genetic history, bloodline quality, conformity to breed standards, character and results achieved, as far as possible.
Socialization
The socialization process begins very early in our puppies' lives and progresses according to a professional and planned program. Our puppies become familiar with people, different sounds, environmental stimuli and various experiences they may encounter in daily life in a controlled manner, according to their age. Our goal is to lay the foundations for a secure, balanced and strong Cane Corso character that can adapt to its environment when it reaches its new family.
At Del Estancio Kennel, every mating and every puppy we raise is based on health, rigorous genetic selection, balanced character and professional early socialization.
